15th Annual Pyramid Lake Paiute Community Fundraiser

Your donation can help someone find a place to sleep, a ride to safety, an advocate to talk to, counseling, support for their children, or simply someone who will answer when they ask for help.

Financial donations support the Pyramid Lake Victim Services Program, which provides confidential services and resources for people affected by violence or victimization, including emergency shelter, counseling, advocacy, transportation, children’s advocacy, and support groups.

The program also operates Tamme Pea Nobe, Our Mothers’ House, a seven-day-a-week shelter.

Comfort & Joy serves as fiscal sponsor for the fundraiser.

Why this exists

Seventeen years of giving back.

Every year, Burners travel through Wadsworth and Nixon on the way to and from Black Rock City.

For 17 years, Burners Give Back has helped turn that journey home into a chance to do something good for our neighbors in the Pyramid Lake Paiute Community.

Burners have donated food after their burn to Pyramid Lake Paiute families and elders, volunteered their time, helped spread the word, and raised funds for important community needs.

It has always been a labor of love, built by people choosing to help.

This year, you can be part of it. Donate food. Donate funds. Share it with your camp.

Tell your camp before strike.

Food you or your camp have left after your burn is easier to donate when camps plan before strike. Share the campaign early enough for camp and kitchen leads to include donation in their departure plan.

  1. Send this page to your camp lead and to whoever runs your kitchen, before you break camp.
  2. Post it in your camp’s Facebook group or group chat so everyone sees it, not just the organizers.
  3. Save the graphic that fits your audience and post it where your people already talk.

Every button in a group posts the same campaign page, so the graphics below only carry what belongs to the picture itself: save it, or hand it straight to another app.
